Happy New Year!

Wow! I cannot believe it, but I have finally filmed a video! It is up on my channel right now. This video is just a quick update and includes a special surprise. I hope to be uploading on my channel every week or every two weeks. It will depend on how the school semester goes. I explain more in the video, so please be sure to watch. Let me know what you are most looking forward to in this new year. I am looking forward to decorating my first apartment and achieving my financial goals. Black Blossom

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I currently have a different hairstyle. Not to confuse anyone, I just want to clarify that these photos were taken a few weeks ago. I have a lot of shoots that I just keep for days when I don't have time to take photos or the weather does not permit. I love the look of this outfit. Its subtle but still makes a statement. Whenever I wear these pants I always get asked where I got them from, and they are thrifted with no tags. Most of my closet is thrifted, and I know there are a lot of bloggers who link to similar things, but I choose not to. As a blogger I want to inspire outfit ideas, not give you the recipe to wear the same thing I am wearing. What's the fun in that? I would loved to read your thoughts in the comments about this. This week has been extremely long for me, and its not over yet. My one complete off day is Sunday, and I can't wait. I usually work two jobs in the summer, but for whatever reason its been a little tougher this time around. I appreciate all the kind words and support from you guys though. It really does make my day, and makes me feel like my blog matters. OOTD: Black & Brown

When I was younger I remember people saying "black and brown doesn't go together". WRONG! They totally go to together. One of the biggest fashion myths out there. I saw a pin on Pinterest, where this girl wore a black dress and dressed it up with sunnies and brown accessories. So, I decided to recreate the look with what I had in my closet. I found this black dress at a thrift store, but its originally from Walmart. The O.P Line to be exact and I think its a gorgeous little dress. The baby doll shape adds the perfect amount of girlyness, and the stretch top accentuates the bust tastefully.
